"In trying to find words to summarize the quality of Being, I am left feeling a bit inadequate. To me, it feels like the concept of wu wei, or when wind blows through trees and you feel everything around you sort of lift up, into this place of flowing calm.

The practice of Being is one of settling beyond yourself—getting comfortable with the realization that you alone, and your perspective, is not all there is. And thus, to formulate a plan or concoct a strategy without holding space for the infinite beyond would be limited in scope and capacity. I have found it is one thing to hold that understanding conceptually, but much more difficult to actually allow yourself to be swept up by the river and let this flow of life move you along unknown currents. For me, “Being” feels like thoughtful intentionality and nourishment to your inner mindset, along with receptivity and apt noticing to your outer experiences and relationships.

Over time, I have often been surprised what can unfold, easily, as a lotus unfurls its petals. We are the flower, the nectar, and the bee, the queen and the hive. We are all attracting and existing and tethering to some sort of Cosmic Soup of Knowing, something energetic and wonderful, the great eternal “Be” of Oneness (or whatever), if we are willing to connect and open up to it!"
